Head and Shoulders I.AUTHOR Francis Scott Fitzgerald was an American Jazz Age author of getup stories and novels. He was considered one of the greatest writers in the twentieth century. He was able to write four novels and left a one-fifth one undone. He also had a lot of ill-judged stories with the themes of youth, despair, and age. He is really fond writing to the point that it became his obsession. When he was in college, he dropped out from Princeton University to join the army and conciliate in the World War I. While in the army, he was able to pursue writing and was able to finish a novel which was praised but rejected by the editor of Charles Scribners Sons. He had been a chronic alcoholic since his college days. He was subtlety with alcohol as he was obsessed with writing and this caused his harm health. According to his wifes biographer, Nancy Milford, Fitzgerald used Tuberculosis to dissemble his drinking problems; but according to his scholar , Matthew Bruccoli, he did have appease Tuberculosis. He had an attack which what proved to be a ill hemorrhage. Given the extent of alcoholism, it was however possible that the hemorrhage was caused by bleeding of the veins in the esophagus that is a result of rightly liver disease. He was also a non-stop smoker. This caused his death including the ii heart attacks he had.
